The passionate DIY enthusiast, hobby gardener and Schalke fan has grown fond of the Vox audience, especially for his simple but sincere manner. Now the “Off to the Bed” legend has died, as the television station made public on Friday (October 13th).

informs on its homepage, “Ralle” Ender died on October 12th. He leaves behind his long-time partner and companion Conny, with whom he appeared in front of the camera, as well as a daughter, a grandchild and a brother and sister.

Ender became known primarily through the gardening show “Ab ins Beet!”, which was first broadcast in 2005. In the most recent season, Enders could be seen in spring and summer. “We are all very sad and miss him immensely,” it says on the show’s Facebook account. “He was a wonderful person and will always live on in our thoughts and hearts,” the “Off to the Beet!” team continued. In his more than ten years of TV presence, in addition to “Ab ins Beet!”, he was also featured in the Vox programs “Once Camping, Always Camping” and “The Beet Brothers”.
