"We are not a world apart but we are part of the world". The film of the film which is hitting the box office became reality in Castelvecchio Subequo where, this morning, the mayors of the district and dozens of parents started a sit-in outside the gates of the comprehensive institute to say no to the dismantling of the school average. The decline in enrolments, due to depopulation but also to current regulations, has pushed the school management, for the 2024/2025 school year, to authorize the multi-class first/third middle school with a number of 18 students. An icy shower for the subequana school community, with administrators and school representatives who, in a long meeting held in the morning with the head teacher of the Raiano Comprehensive, expressed their full dissent.

"We need the institutions to be on the side of our children so that they realize their dreams and aspirations in the constitutionally sanctioned ways" - explain the spontaneous committee of parents who, together with the mayors, met the principal, Paola Ruscitti this morning. "We stand alongside the families and are ready and available to speak with the competent government bodies so that the necessary attention is paid to socio-environmental reasons and not merely numerical ones. The time has come to change the law through structural reforms" - add the mayors of Castelvecchio Subequo, Secinaro, Gagliano Aterno, Molina Aterno, Castel di Ieri and Goriano Sicoli. The protest, in reality, has been going on since April 6th, when the students deserted lessons.
