Pop star Maite Kelly has thought of a special outfit if she wants to do certain things privately. What motivates them to do this and whether it works.
Hamburg – The name Kelly is associated with an unmistakable look in Germany. Even if some of the family members have now lost their long blonde mane, the faces of the Kelly family are still familiar even after years thanks to their TV and stage presence. The son of pop star Maite Kelly's (44) brother Angelo (42), Gabriel Kelly (22), who is currently taking part in "Let's Dance", is also a spitting image of his father. But what if you, as a celebrity, want to stroll through German city centers in private?
Maite Kelly uses certain colors for camouflage

,” singer Maite Kelly talked about how she camouflages herself when she doesn’t want to be recognized on the street in private. The Berlin native says she usually goes out on the street wearing a hat, denim skirt and trench coat. Above all, a hat and the long coat, the trench coat, which covers almost the entire body of the woman, who is only 1.60 meters tall, are always helpful. From experience, she camouflages one color in particular: “Green colors are good,” says the musician. "I do not know why. These are muddy colors. Maybe then I’ll look more like a little raccoon.”
In the article she accompanies the TV team through downtown Hamburg. The fact that her cover is sometimes blown is shown by strolling fans who want a photo with the well-known woman, who even won the dance show “Let's Dance” in 2011. Maite Kelly says that, for example, she wants to remain unrecognized when she goes to her favorite bookstore in Hamburg and looks for her books. Although she visits privately, she sometimes secretly signs her own books so that some buyers get an autographed copy.

The singer also has a favorite place in this Hamburg bookstore. This is actually her favorite place in the whole city. She retreats to a table with two chairs with a few books and immerses herself in the thoughts of other authors. Since 2015, the mother of three daughters has been publishing children's books together with a German author. As she once told the

, she wouldn't hire a ghostwriter for this. She has been writing since she was eight years old and therefore develops all the characters herself. She has the creative imagination for this, just as she does in music.

The books are about small celestial beings, regardless of religion, but generally about “humanity, [...] friendship and love”. However, Maite Kelly's main job is still a full-blooded musician.
