Hans Sigl was once a member of a band. The chances of a breakthrough looked quite good. But someone thwarted the “Bergdoktor” star and his bandmates’ plans.
Ammersee – On March 7th, ZDF broadcast the final episode of the 17th season of “Der Bergdoktor” – since then, TV doctor Hans Sigl (54) has not had to stand in front of the camera for his long-term project. In the SWR3 podcast “1 plus 1 – Temporary Friendship”, the Austrian chats with his interviewee Carlo Sommer about, among other things, his beginnings as a young actor. But he also has other exciting and funny stories ready.
“Bergdoktor” star Hans Sigl was a member of a music band as a student
As a young actor, Hans Sigl once had to declare himself unemployed for a period of time. The “Bergdoktor” actor then received a strange job offer from the employment office. The 54-year-old also talks about the “cool” summer months he spent in Innsbruck when he was still studying there.

As a student, Hans Sigl was a member of a music band. He also played with them at concerts in a few summer months - a “great time” that the “Bergdoktor” star still remembers fondly today. After a while, a Swiss record company is said to have become aware of the three-member student band. “At some point they came with a 12-page contract and wanted to sign us and produce a record with us,” the Austrian recalls old memories.
“Now it starts” – or not: That’s why Hans Sigl’s music career failed
The music band was supposed to tour Italy, Spain and England and the band then understandably thought: “Now it starts”. But the father of the band's frontman put a stop to the plan because he wanted his son to focus on his studies. This also ended the possibility of a major music career for actor Hans Sigl.
