This Monday the new name of the agricultural portfolio led by
Fernando Vilella
was made official : it will now be called Secretary of Bioeconomy and will have 4 undersecretaries. It was under Decree 293/2024 published in the Official Gazette, under the signature of President Javier MIlei and the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, within the framework of a restructuring of the Ministry of Economy.
In the Bioeconomy orbit, 4 undersecretaries will operate, three of which will continue with the same officials in charge: the Undersecretary of Agricultural Markets and International Negotiations, led by
Agustín Tejeda Rodríguez
, the undersecretary of Bioindustries, Biotechnologies and Innovation, led by
Pablo Nardone
and the undersecretary of Aquatic Resources and Fisheries, managed by Juan
Antonio López Cazorla
.
This Monday the news is that the Undersecretary of Agricultural and Forestry Production joins, which will be led by
Sergio Iraeta
, the new member of the team led by Vilella.
New officials
The names of the new members of the Secretariat were known after the dismissal of
Pedro Vigneau
and
Germán Di Bella
. This is
Sergio Iraeta
, who will hold the position of Undersecretary of Agricultural and Forestry Production. And
Manuel Chiappe
, who will be Chief of Advisors of this same Undersecretariat.
Iraeta, in addition to being a lawyer, is an agricultural producer who works on both his own and rented land in the provinces of Córdoba, Buenos Aires and Santa Fe.
Chiappe is an environmental engineer from the Argentine Catholic University, is a producer from Entre Ríos and was the general director of the Barbechando Foundation, an organization that specializes in agricultural legislative issues in the National Congress.
