The number of offenses in this area rose by 12.3 percent to 10,101 cases last year, as the German Press Agency learned from the Interior Ministry. It is therefore a ten-year high. The number of crimes in which a person was threatened, injured or even killed in public with a knife increased by more than 13 percent last year compared to the previous year.
