The new edition of “Daughter-in-Law Wanted” did not bring the hoped-for success – and for some fans it is clear why the show flopped.
Cologne – After the last “daughter-in-law wanted” episode (March 31) resulted in miserable ratings on linear television, RTL decided to remove the dating format from the program and only show the remaining episodes on the station’s own streaming portal RTL+ . Some disappointed fans are now expressing their displeasure online and blaming a specific person for the poor TV ratings.
After “Looking for a daughter-in-law”: Angela Finger-Erben is sharply criticized
The station probably had a lot of hopes for the new edition of “Daughter-in-Law Wanted” – it’s not for nothing that they brought a new presenter on board. As the new face of the show, Angela Finger-Erben (44) is allowed to pair up the love-hungry singles - but after the opening episode of the new season there was a lot of criticism online.

Now some loyal “daughter-in-law wanted” fans believe that the new presenter is to blame for the dating format no longer being given a slot on linear television in the future. Disappointed RTL viewers take out their frustration with Finger-Erben's current picture on Instagram.
Harsh words for Angela Finger-Erben's “daughter-in-law wanted” moderation
“Just read that 'Daughter-in-law Wanted' has been posted. All I can say is, thank God. They are simply unable to moderate. They should leave it alone,” said a disappointed viewer under the Instagram post. Another user agrees: "Vera has successfully moderated the show for years.. with Angela she is being taken straight out of the program because of lack of talent." But there are also voices that praise Angela Finger-Erben for the moderation and find it a shame that the show was removed from the program.
