Once again L-Ghent is in the news for a scandal. A former employee, named Daniel Vera, reported him in the last few hours for
injuries, threats, robbery and unlawful deprivation of liberty
. He also accused Claudia Valenzuela, the singer's mother. The cause is investigated by UFI No. 10 of General Rodríguez.
Vera reported that on Sunday, March 17, after eight at night, the ragpicker, his mother and two friends savagely beat him until he lost consciousness. It all started – according to the document presented to the prosecution – when Vera, who
was doing household chores, asked Valenzuela to eat something
, because she "was hungry."
"Old man, you had mate," was the woman's response and immediately Elián González (L-Gante) "and other friends" entered, whom Vera said she "could perfectly recognize."
"And, without warning,
they started punching and kicking
me. A lot of blood started coming out and I almost suffocated," said the man, who, in his words, had recently suffered a stroke.
Prosecutor Gabriel Urrutia confirmed to
Clarín
"the existence of
a complaint that was ratified
and is in the full investigative stage. I cannot provide more information because it could frustrate the test." At the request of this media, the prosecutor confirmed that the complaint describes the aforementioned crimes and that Vera was a former employee of L-Gante.
On the singer's side, his lawyer Diego Storto was forceful: "The complaint lacks evidence and is only said, so it may possibly be filed due to lack of evidence. This complaint is made (Vera) without any evidence and clearly,
once, plus Elián (Valenzuela) is the subject of extortion
or something like that."
The lawyer
denies that he was a former employee
. "He was an acquaintance to whom Elián gave a hand and lent him a house. The man lists facts, what evidence does he have? My client would never do anything like that, he clearly wants money."
Storto says that L-Gante "is a very special person, with a huge heart that helps everyone... The person who denounced him in the case that had him imprisoned (Gastón Torres) lent him money a lot of times" .
