Bakary D., 49, was sentenced this Monday to 18 months in prison by the Compiègne court, for a sexual assault on two teenage girls. The defendant must compensate them to the tune of 2,000 euros each and undergo psychological or psychiatric care for two years. He should no longer come into contact with them.

, 15 and 17 years old, rang the doorbell of Bakary's studio, in the Maréchaux district, in Compiègne. The girls are used to meeting at his house with other friends to hang out, drink, smoke, eat...
Except that Bakary is not a high school friend, he is a man with cognitive disorders, almost 50 years old, who denies the facts. Sexual assault? Simple desire to recover his belongings, he assures. His cell phone, in this case, which he thought had been stolen by the young girls.
“Since he was hit by a car in 2015, his brain hasn’t been the same. He is a man who acts like a teenager, summarizes his lawyer, Me Bénédicte Meunier. At one point, he couldn't find his phone. However, for him, it is an obsession. He has his whole life in it. He panicked when he couldn't find it anymore. »
“Since then, they no longer dare to go out alone”
However, the testimonies of the young girls describe a completely different scenario. “He started to squeeze me, but I immediately elbowed him,” explains Mélissa. Then he wanted me to go into the bathroom with him. I refused. He got angry. » So it’s Amélie who goes there.
“He touched my breasts, my buttocks through my clothes. He grabbed my wrist so that I touched his penis. » And it's only once he leaves the room that Bakary can no longer find his phone and accuses the girls of stealing.
“They had tight-fitting clothes, he could see clearly that he was not hidden underneath,” underlines their lawyer, Me Florence Danne-Thiefine. The two girls will nevertheless take off their t-shirt, pants and socks to show her that they have nothing on. Flee ? The door is closed, impossible to get out.
One of them, in communication with a friend, will inform the latter of the situation and the police will be notified. “They even took a knife to try to force the lock,” continues their lawyer.
