A paid operation. A man driving an ambulance was tested without a driving license and positive for narcotics, this Thursday when leaving the private hospital in Évry-Courcouronnes, during a vast operation carried out by the national police. His vehicle was immobilized.
Early in the morning, dozens of Essonne police officers were deployed on the roads in two strategic locations: near the hospitals of Évry-Courcouronnes and Massy. The objective: to control the “medical transport vehicles of people”, according to the established formula, i.e. the private ambulances which circulate in the sector. An operation carried out in conjunction with teams from the ARS (regional health agency).
His vehicle immobilized
During the morning, several offenses were noted, informs the 91 police on its X account. Note: the use of a telephone while driving or the absence of display of prices.
But the prize undoubtedly goes to this driver checked in Évry-Courcouronnes, on the RN7, very close to the private hospital from which he was returning, according to the first elements brought to our attention. The police not only noted the lack of a valid license, but the man was also driving under the influence of drugs. The paramedic was arrested and his vehicle immobilized.
This type of specific checks are repeated regularly throughout the department. On April 6, it was the VTC drivers who were in the sights of the police, already in Massy: 13 tickets had been issued in a few hours.
