Hamburg – After 1,147 joint broadcasts of the ARD quiz show “Who knows something like that?” Kai Pflaume (56) and Bernhard Hoëcker (54) are now a well-rehearsed team – you might think. Because every now and then, even the experienced and calm TV stars get their nerves on edge. This was also the case on Monday evening (April 8th) in the latest edition of the rate show.

“Who knows something like that?” in the first: Hoëcker and Krassnitzer win 3000 euros

What happened? Guessing team captain Bernhard Hoëcker received prominent support from “Tatort” actor Harald Krassnitzer (63) in the program “Who knows something like that?”, which is broadcast Monday to Friday at 6 p.m. on Erste. Together they answered all six quiz questions correctly and earned 3,000 euros by the finale. Opposite them sat Elton (53) and actress Aylin Tezel (40), who had 1,500 euros to show after six questions.

In the finale of “Who knows something like that?”, the money earned up to that point can be used and doubled to a maximum before moderator Kai Pflaume asks the candidates a very last quiz question. The team that has the most money in their account after answering the final question wins, and the money is distributed to those in the audience sitting behind the winning duo.

Hoëcker interrupts “Who knows something like that?” presenter Kai Pflaume in the middle of a sentence: “Blah blah.”

In Monday's broadcast, 71 people sat behind Elton and Aylin Tezel, while only 57 people gathered behind Bernhard Hoëcker and Harald Krassnitzer. Reason enough for moderator Kai Pflaume to point out to the audience that every person who has decided to join the Hoëcker/Krassnitzer team may be able to look forward to more than 100 euros.

“Since there are only 57 spectators sitting behind you today, ...,” Kai Pflaume tried to explain the initial situation before the last question, but was verbally brushed off by Bernhard Hoëcker. “... there is the possibility of having over 100 euros, blah blah,” the 54-year-old completed the moderator’s sentence with a slightly annoyed undertone. Laughter broke out in the audience.

Without responding to his show colleague's thin-skinned comment, Kai Pflaume asked the final question from the "license plate" category: "Which letter only appears in a local abbreviation on German license plates?" A: X, B: Ä, C: Q"

Both teams bet 1,499 euros each from the money they earned. Hoëcker and Krassnitzer chose answer C, Elton and Tezel chose answer B. The latter was also the correct one and so Elton and Aylin Tezel emerged as winners from the show, which has to vacate its slot for another quiz show in May. Moderator Kai Pflaume couldn't resist a final swipe at Bernhard Hoëcker: “It could have been over 100 euros per person, but unfortunately they didn't put everything in.”
