Highlights: Zorneding has to spend a lot of money - and save elsewhere. This also affects local clubs, such as the TSV or the church community. The administrative budget includes income and expenses of around 23.1 million euros. By 2025 at the latest, the municipality will have to take out loans to cope with the tasks.. The meeting of the budget committee passed without discussions as far as the budget for 2024 was concerned. Things became a little more controversial when it came to subsidies for clubs. The community of Zorneding has to spend a lot of money - and save elsewhere. This also affects local clubs, such as the TSV or the church community.

Zorneding

- The meeting of the budget committee passed without discussions as far as the budget for 2024 was concerned. Things became a little more controversial when it came to subsidies for clubs. The committee met three times for preliminary discussions and discussed the investment program, and the financial plan and budget statutes have now been unanimously approved. The administrative budget includes income and expenses of around 23.1 million euros. The asset budget estimates income and expenses amounting to a good 13.2 million euros.

City hall, fire department, roads, child care: the list of tasks is long

The community will face a lot of expenses this year, including for town hall expansion, fire departments, elementary school renovations, childcare, community roads, the station forecourt and the local heating network. By 2025 at the latest, the municipality will have to take out loans to cope with the tasks. No wonder, then, that the committee members reacted cautiously to grant applications.

The Pro Christophoruskirche association's application for a guarantee of 1,000 euros for the “Literary Autumn” event series was therefore rejected. At the suggestion of Stephan Raabe (SPD), an agreement was reached on 750 euros instead. In addition, there is a subsidy of 250 euros for the celebrations of the club's 40th anniversary. The Protestant educational organization has been granted a subsidy for educational events in Zorneding for years. According to the local council resolution of 2020, this subsidy amounts to eleven euros per double hour. Last year, events with 89 double lessons took place in Zorneding, so the subsidy amounts to 979 euros and was granted unanimously.

TSV Zorneding fails with its application for a pitch rental subsidy

However, TSV Zorneding's application was rejected. He would have liked a subsidy because his own grass pitches cannot be used in winter and the sports club therefore rents space on the artificial turf pitches of the Oberhaching sports school and SC Baldham. The TSV incurred 2,358 euros in costs for this last winter. The budget committee disliked the fact that this subsidy was only applied for retrospectively, and the committee was also of the opinion that the TSV should clarify this internally.

The Sports & Culture Support Association can look forward to a maximum grant of 5,000 euros. The amount is intended for families who cannot afford to take part in the holiday program from their own resources. However, the actual subsidy is likely to be lower; last year only 580 euros were drawn down.

Finally, it was about the Young Culture Association, which wants to organize an open air party again this year. For this, the municipality grants a fixed subsidy of 500 euros and a default guarantee of 1,000 euros in the event of bad weather.
