batteries the same
?
Not all Makita batteries are the same, but many of them are compatible within certain series. Most modern Makita tools use lithium-ion batteries, and within the “LXT Li-Ion Series” 18V batteries are interchangeable.
This means that if you have a current device from the “LXT Li-Ion series”, you can assume that all batteries with the same voltage (10.8V/12V and 18V) can be used with each other. This applies to both original Makita batteries of various capacities (e.g. from 1.5 Ah to 5.0 Ah) as well as some compatible and cheaper alternatives.
