Activate concrete measures to support the action to combat school dropout, creating the conditions useful for expanding the opening of schools beyond the school timetable and calendar. This is the main objective of the new "Scuola Bene Comune" tender just launched by the Sardinia Foundation.
"In a context in which schools in Sardinia have an early dropout rate higher than the national average, the Foundation, in agreement with the regional school office and with the involvement of all school managers, strengthens its commitment to valorising public schools as a center of the social life of the community", declared Giacomo Spissu, president of the Sardinia Foundation.
The initiative, which develops in parallel with the School Announcement "Digital Education - Tech Education", encourages multi-year collaboration between school institutions, local authorities and third sector entities, based on subsidiarity and educational co-responsibility, on the model of " Community educational pacts". The Notice is configured as an "Invitation to propose", requiring the signatories of the agreement to draw up three-year projects.
The "Scuola Bene Comune" tender has annual funding of 2,000,000 euros for the first year, between June 2024 and June 2025. The proposed projects must have a maximum size of 100,000 euros for each year of the projects' duration.
The project proposals must be submitted exclusively online from 10 April to 15 May 2024, by completing the forms available on the institutional website www.fondazionedisardegna.it. A second application window is expected in September 2024.
