If you go looking for trouble you'll find it. While stroking a dog from the drug brigade in the city center of Amiens this Wednesday, April 10, a man was fined for drug possession, reports the
France Bleu
Picardie
news channel . The animal trained to detect illicit substances smelled their presence in the sock of the main person concerned.
“A young man, very friendly indeed, wanted to stroke the
stup dog ,
”
tells Laurent Berthuin, in charge of communications for the national police of the Somme, to our colleagues at France Bleu. According to him, the individual must not have understood that it was a drug search dog.
Palpations and fine
Upon contact, the animal detects the presence of drugs in its sock and
“marks positive”
, leading to an identity check and palpations. The young man was ultimately fined 150 euros for possession of narcotics.
An unusual situation for the police, to say the least:
“We found it a bit unusual for a person in possession of narcotics to throw themselves into the den of the wolf
,” says Laurent Berthuin,
“it’s not common
. ”
