Last June,
Ségolène Royal
surprised everyone by accepting Cyril Hanouna's proposal to appear regularly in “Touche pas à mon poste”.
She then announced that she would be a political columnist in the C8 program. “
I will decipher complex subjects, shed light on concepts that are important in political and economic life
,” she explained to AFP in June with the idea of
“bringing to light the reasoning that leads to such or such such decision”
.
“Political speech does not have to select this or that audience. People have the right to understand
,” she said.
The socialist candidate for the 2007 presidential election then detailed in July in the columns of Le Parisien her exact role in the program hosted by Cyril Hanouna.
“I will not be a columnist, as I have read
,” she insisted.
“I will speak in a sequence entitled “Ségolène explains”. I will give keys to understanding current events, supporting people in their reflections. I will explain, for example, what a 49.3 is, how the price of electricity is set, what the status of the policy is, etc. The popular audience has the right to understand!”
Since the start of the school year, the former Minister of the Environment has offered her column once a week in which she covers various current issues. This Thursday, April 11, she raised the question of banning screens for children under three years old but also spoke about the sculptures of the artist Brancusi representing animals.
Invited on the show “Face aux Territories” on TV5 Monde that same day, Ségolène Royal answered the question:
“Do you dream of a destiny like Roselyne Bachelot, TV columnist, a TV show for you and hop, minister again?",
asked by Floréal Hernandez, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper 20 minutes, present on the set:
"You know, I don't have a personal or planned itinerary
, she explained.
In the present moment I do what is interesting, which allows me to continue to exchange ideas, to share my experience, particularly in the field of civic education or environmental education
.
“I respect all audiences”
Ségolène Royal
The politician then detailed to Cyril Viguier her pleasure in intervening in “TPMP”:
“I respect all audiences and therefore I proposed this civic education module and I see that it is of enormous interest”
, before discussing her recent discussion with the cashier of a supermarket delighted with her interventions in the show:
"She told me
'I saw that you had explained that, I understood everything, I didn't know...'" . Ségolène Royal also mentioned the European elections, specifying that she would not talk about this subject in her pastille on the set of “TPMP”.
If she therefore seems to like Cyril Hanouna, Ségolène Royal has obviously not yet decided whether she will continue this adventure next year. As the end of the season approaches, Floréal Hernandez asked her about her future on the show.
“Are you signing for a season 2 of “TPMP”
? the editor-in-chief asked him.
“I don’t know
,” she replied, visibly a little embarrassed. The former minister still has a few months before making her choice.
