Actually, 80 exhibitors were announced for the Unterschleißheim trade exhibition (UGA), but then other business people from the region registered at short notice.
Unterschleißheim
– Already an hour before the start of the Unterschleißheim trade exhibition (UGA), the foyer, arena and outdoor area of the Ballhausforum are filling up. The UGA has called after a six-year break, and the Unterschleissheimers are there. Today and tomorrow, experts were and will still be available at over 90 stands for one-on-one discussions to advise on new and tried-and-tested topics relating to construction, renewable energy, gardening, finance and leisure. The trade fair got off to a lively start on Friday afternoon – a new start after six years.
Happy with the response
“We are happy that the UGA is back and are now satisfied with the response,” says Margit Schuhmann from the Funkenzauber agency, which organizes the UGA with the organizing association of the self-employed and the city: “I really like the mix of sectors. The majority of registrations came from the building renovation and photovoltaics sectors.
In keeping with the start of the gardening season, market manager Lars Knabe from the “Baumarkt Lohhof” informs visitors about raised beds and the possibilities of the new laser device: snack boards, cell phone cases or your personal hammer can be personalized with a lettering by him and colleague Sonja Wanninger.
At the penny parade
At the Pfennigparade Foundation stand, visitors admire the products from the bookbinding workshop: jewelry boxes, notebooks and bound magazines. “We are here to expand our network,” says Susanne Schmidt, “and of course we want to generate orders.”
The security company “busec” not only protects the UGA: “We want to appeal to customers from the region and also citizens, because we are looking for employees,” says Carsten Bucko. There is also a banner hanging at numerous other stands, such as that of the VR Bank Message “Employees wanted”.
Camper rental Vantopia
An exotic one is the camper rental company Vantopia, which places three mobile homes of different sizes on the outdoor area just in time for the travel season: “We have been in Unterschleißheim for a year, and this weekend is the perfect opportunity to introduce ourselves to a larger group of customers.”
The city, which itself has a brand new, modern stand in the middle of the arena, has supported the UGA reset with 35,000 euros, and the UGA can also use the Ballhausforum free of charge this time. Margit Schuhmann thanked them for this in her welcoming speech and encouraged business people to tackle the challenges of the future together.
The fair beckons all weekend
The trade fair attracts visitors all weekend long with lectures, cultural talks, gastronomy and parties. – “Stand by me” is sung at the opening by the young Tina Cetojevic from Unterschleißheim, accompanied by pianist Florian Beh. – The UGA and Unterschleissheim are a long-term relationship that should last.
