In the open air, as the Government usually resolves its fights, the block of deputies of La Libertad Avanza has just fractured and once again demonstrated that the ruling party is the worst enemy of President Javier Milei.

The libertarian bloc created the scandal right in the parliamentary Commission that for any Government functions as the first ring of security.

The Impeachment Commission is, as stipulated by law, the body that must determine

whether a public trial process is admissible

to remove, in the case of the Executive Branch, the ministers, the chief of staff, the vice president or the president. .

Controlling that key is

decisive

for any government, but it is even more important for a minority administration like Milei's, which

does not have the necessary number of deputies to block the second instance

of a process like that, because its bench does not reach a third. of the House necessary to ensure that the eventual accusation of the official is not approved in the chamber. The Constitution determines that after the accusation of deputies, it is the Senate that defines the dismissal of an official and in that chamber La Libertad Avanza has an even smaller bloc.

How is it possible that the ruling party cannot establish

through a reasonable process

who should preside over the presidency of the Commission in charge of watching over the backs of the entire Cabinet and the presidential formula itself?

The opposition views this development with a mixture of satisfaction and fear. The most numerous blocks

gave up their votes

so that La Libertad Avanza can preside over that Commission that any Government needs and now sees that those who received that offering are fighting to open the gift package.

The ruling party will soon have another test that will serve to measure its consistency. Important officials of the Casa Rosada promised that

next Monday or Tuesday they will publish the application of Ariel Lijo and Manuel García Mansilla

to join the Supreme Court.

It will be the start of a 15-day process in which the company can present challenges or support these candidates. After that period, the President will have 15 more days to submit these nominations to the Senate, where they will have to

be submitted to the scrutiny of the Agreements Commission

and then to the vote of the plenary session.

Until yesterday, the Government had not called any senator to ask if they were going to vote for their candidates. There was, however, activity on the part of the applicants themselves. Lijo and García Mansilla, each one on their own, are gathering support from judges and universities for their candidacies.

García Mansilla communicated with some of the Court's magistrates.

Lijo spoke with several of his colleagues in the Comodoro Py courts, with judges from other instances and also with some governors and senators. There were even contacts between those who support him and the leaders of La Libertad Avanza who resisted him.

One of them is the Formosa senator

Francisco Paoltroni

, who had said in public that he did not want to vote on Lijo's document. Paoltroni visited the Court and left the place with the necessary data to reverse his vote.
