Cologne – Victoria Swarovski (30) has hosted the RTL dance show “Let's Dance” for six years. In 2018, she replaced her predecessor Sylvie Meis (45) for the eleventh season and has since been leading the live broadcast on Fridays together with Daniel Hartwich (45). But the 30-year-old doesn't have a very good standing with viewers. This is particularly evident on social media. After the show on April 5, 2024, the hostility against the presenter became so bad that RTL had to intervene.

a picture of the presenter posing in exactly this dress on the show's official
account. But she received harsh criticism for this. In the comments, viewers judge her harshly.

“I would have loved the dress with a higher top. It’s a shame,” says one user. Another complains: “It won't get any worse soon. Who would come up with a dress like that? Why doesn't she just go topless?" Some followers also pretend to be fashion experts: "This neckline doesn't do anything for her, it's wrong advice or design. Higher and perhaps with a strap would be chic.” But it’s not just the dress that is criticized.
There are also a lot of comments about the TV star's figure under the post. “She seems to me to be getting thinner and thinner. “I hope she eats healthily,” said one follower worriedly. Another remarks: “Is she sick? Looks like anorexia. I don't think it's nice." Her competence as a presenter is also questioned: "She simply can't bear to let the dancers take precedence visually and sometimes show herself more discreetly, as a good presenter would do, which she is known to be is not."
Wave of hate against Victoria Swarovski: RTL makes a clear announcement – “We do not tolerate body shaming”
These comments give RTL enough reason to take action themselves. The broadcaster addresses the community in its own commentary and asks for respectful treatment. “We would like to point out again at this point that we do not tolerate body shaming or insults here.” The broadcaster reserves the right to “remove relevant comments and draw further consequences,” it continues.
RTL receives a lot of support for this comment. Fortunately, there are also some kind words for the moderator in the comments. “She looks great. Mega outfit,” says one user. Another raves: “I think she has developed very well and is doing really well. Above all, I love how natural it is.” Several emojis with heart eyes are attached to the comment. Victoria Swarovski recently spoke about how bad her “Let’s Dance” debut was.
