Til Schweiger had to be hospitalized in Mallorca because of sepsis. Fortunately, there is now reason to breathe a sigh of relief: the actor is feeling better again.
Update from April 14, 2024:
Mallorca – How Til Schweiger (60) is really doing has been unclear in the past few days. But: There was every reason to worry. The acting star had to seek medical care in Mallorca after suffering life-threatening blood poisoning. This was preceded by an open wound on his leg that had been plaguing the film darling since August.
But the filmmaker seems to have survived the worst: As

reports, the 60-year-old is doing significantly better. He left the clinic in Palma alone on Sunday morning (April 14th) and appeared fit. After the 45-minute treatment, Schweiger made a call on his cell phone, then got into his car and drove away. His gait: cautious, but not conspicuous - a good sign considering his injury. Nevertheless, it will probably take a while until the cinema star recovers.
Concern for Til Schweiger: In the Spanish hospital with blood poisoning
First report from April 11, 2024:
Til Schweiger recently had to deal with a lot of allegations. Now the actor wants to concentrate on his career again. However, his health is thwarting his plans. Last year he sustained an injury to his leg - which now has fatal consequences.
When it comes to criticism of himself, Til Schweiger recently spoke plainly. Now the “Manta, Manta” star has completely different worries: He is in hospital in Mallorca. The 60-year-old now spoke to bild.de about his condition.
“I've been on antibiotics in hospital for a fortnight because I've had a wound on my leg since August. I hit my shin at the time and germs got in there. Now I have an 'open leg', that's what they call it. Unfortunately, it kept getting worse," said Til Schweiger. Even amputation was previously on the cards. Now his children support him and visit him regularly in the clinic.
No improvement: Til Schweiger is struggling with a fever
A major investigation is still scheduled for Saturday. “With MRI, Doppler sonography, ultrasound,” explained Schweiger. At the moment it doesn't look like there's any improvement. “I got a fever on Thursday night,” he said in the Bild interview. Nevertheless, he hopes to be able to fly to New York soon to attend the premiere of the new Guy Ritchie film “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” in which he is starring.
But the doctors haven't given their okay yet. “After that I would have to go back to the clinic straight away. “I haven’t given up hope that it could work,” says Schweiger. The film star can always rely on his children. Even in the midst of all the allegations against him, Luna Schweiger stood by him.
