A 17-year-old minor has been injured with a knife while he was in a park in the Madrid district of Ciudad Lineal. The victim has traveled about 300 meters from the place of the attack to the doors of a public school, where several teachers and monitors have ordered him to stay at the door while health care arrives. The boy suffered a cut on his hand that affected four fingers and could have affected two tendons, according to reports from Emergencies Madrid.
According to several witnesses to the attack, the minor was on a bench with two friends, when another young man approached and scolded the one who was later injured. “It was going against him specifically,” says one of these sources. The attacker wounded him with a knife and the boy ran away from his attacker. The victim managed to walk a few steps into the school, but at that moment the monitors and teachers stopped him and took him to the door. There they accompanied him until the police and health services arrived. At all times the minor has been conscious and has remained standing, but the blood loss has been significant. The two friends he was with have indicated that it was an attempted robbery in which the boy resisted.
The police at this time rule out that it is a matter of youth gangs and officers have identified several persons of interest in the area. At first, the victim has chosen not to file a complaint and has claimed not to remember many details of what happened.
