Le Figaro Nantes
It has been a long time since an event like this occurred at the Nantes central police station. On Sunday, an individual placed in police custody attempted to flee during the hearing. According to information from
Presse Océan
, confirmed by
Le Figaro
, it was around noon when this 27-year-old young man rushed towards the closed bay window, before throwing himself from the second floor. The scene took place in the presence of an investigator and his lawyer.
Second attempt
Although the hearing had started well, the person in custody was not at his first attempt. As part of a dispute, he had been taken to the Nantes University Hospital the day before by emergency services, where he had already tried to flee on Saturday morning, before being caught. He was then taken to the Waldeck Rousseau jails for possession of narcotics. On Sunday, he would have had to explain it if he hadn't opened the window and taken everyone by surprise. He ended up on the sidewalk. Emergency services intervened to help him and take him back to the hospital. According to the latest information, his life is not in danger.
In 2020, a man also escaped from the second floor of the Nantes police station through the window, before being caught in the surrounding area.
