It's a celebration for the 30th anniversary of Hollywood Party, the historic Rai Radio3 broadcast dedicated to cinema, which started on Monday 18 April 1994. A party that will be held in room A in via Asiago at 7pm on Thursday 18 April live on Radio 3 and on Rai Play with live music by Pivio and many guests including Liliana Cavani, Vincenzo Mollica, Paolo Sorrentino, Nicola Giuliano, Francesco De Gregori, Pilar Fogliati and Anna Foglietta. Presenting this anniversary this morning in Viale Mazzini were Andrea Montanari, director of Rai Radio3 and the hosts Steve Della Casa and Stefania Ulivi. Steve Della Casa recalled some golden rules followed by all the hosts: "First of all, interviews serve the interviewees more than the interviewers. Then avoid convoluted language, questions that are longer than the answers and above all self-referential criticism". Stefania Ulivi, journalist of the 'Corriere della sera', jokes about it: "As in any self-respecting party, a gatecrasher is needed, and in this case it's me. A listener of the program from the beginning, when they called me to be part of it for me it was like going to a party." And again from the journalist the consideration that the added value of this program is "a non-Roman-centric community" and the fact that "cinema ultimately creates words, it's not enough to see it, you also have to talk about it". Andrea Montanari, director of Rai Radio3, underlines: "In this new edition there will be special attention to young cinema and new technologies, in particular in the Monday episode, entitled 'Hollywood Party Factory' which will also be dedicated to film schools. Other new features include mini reviews and single-theme episodes on Fridays". Steve Della Casa then recalled the beginnings of the program with Alberto Barbera and David Grieco and the many colleagues who alternate or have alternated at the microphones from Alberto Crespi to Alessandro Boschi, from Enrico Magrelli to Miriam Mauti, from Roberto Silvestri to Tatti Sanguineti up to imaginary Sardinian actor Efisio Mulas (played by Claudio De Pasqualis). There was no shortage of memory of Mario Monicelli, who in an audio clip heard today in Viale Mazzini spoke about May 1968 with Bernardo Bertolucci. Also remembered was Adriano Aprà, the great critic who passed away today. "He represents the cinephilia of which we are all children - said Steve Della Casa - I never shared his tastes and I always told him so, but he was passionate, cultured, prepared".
