This is a spectacularly beautiful house, built on the side of a mountain, located in a settlement on the Carmel coast. It belongs to a couple plus 5 children, who bought the house and asked to renovate it and adapt it to their lifestyle: lovers of hospitality and friends. Designer Keren Niv Toledano was entrusted with the task. A task that included a massive renovation and turning the house into a boutique and full of style, without forgetting to give a respectable stage to the spectacular view, the sea and the green and special location around it.
The house that was built in the past by the "Neuman Hainer" office appears on the surface to be a plain black cube, which is hidden behind a black fence. When opening the black front door, the staircase is revealed and above it a large window through which the sea can be seen. The space with smoky parquet, against a wall covered with gray ket stones, which provides a wonderful background to the wild and mountainous landscape of the Carmel Range.
A dominant stone wall forms a background for the dining area. The table has a rough plate and black wooden legs. Around him are black chairs and lighting fixtures to complete the space. A large display case faces the balcony and on the other side of the dining area there is a designer drinking bar in a blue shade, a motif that repeats itself throughout the space.
Befitting the designer's handwriting, the living room is rich in textiles, for which light shades were chosen whose role is to balance the dark space of the kitchen and dining area. Relatively low sofas and armchairs were chosen for the living room, to allow a quality flow of the space.
The dark kitchen corresponds with the drama of the dining area, it underwent a significant change in order to adapt to the family members. First and foremost, the designer's thinking was functional. The kitchen was designed CUSTOM MADE by Aman and Niv Toledano carpentry. The work surfaces are made of stone, the island in the center of the space has iron legs and above it a light fixture that completes the look.
Another entrance hall with a wall covered with ket stones, leads to a master suite, and is in a shade of brown and smoky blue. Velvet curtains wrap the space and provide design richness to the space. The master suite includes a closet, also in blue tones, with brass strips that decorate them, and a bathroom nearby.
A lower floor leads to the children's rooms which are divided into wings. This floor is not a basement, since the house is located on the side of a mountain, one side is open to the view.
From the staircase you go to a family corner that serves as a children's living room. On the right side of the family corner is the master suite and the first suite. This room is decorated in light colors and includes access to the balcony, as well as a private bathroom with black and white mosaic flooring, an iron chest of drawers and a mirror with an iron frame and brass touches.
On the other side is the boys' empire. One room belongs One of the boys, and his three brothers live in the second. The room's colors are dark, with iron ladder-shaped inserts in the bunk bed, and metal cabinets also match the black color. The shower belongs to the boys, with a gray space and touches of blue.
