Not only the lovingly designed stage set, but also the actors from the Priel theater group were convincing in their performance of “GleisGeisterei” in Hörgertshausen.
Hörgertshausen
– Easter time is also theater time in Hörgertshausen. The Priel theater group has been ensuring this for decades, and this year they brought the stage at the Sepp's Treff inn in Soller to life. A beautifully designed stage set-up awaited visitors to the play “GleisGisterei” by Ralph Walter: a train station complete with kiosk, waiting bench and even a piece of track.
The fictitious location of the event was “Niederhinterbergkirchentalhausen”, an inconspicuous village given the name. The train hasn't stopped there for a long time - or, to stay with the metaphor: the train left a long time ago. Nevertheless, there was still a lot of life at least at the train station, which the actors from the theater club ensured.
A big stage anniversary
For six performances, visitors made a pilgrimage to the pub hall, where director Christian Frey had previously rehearsed rehearsals, the right cues and tricky word passages with new actors for several weeks. But no problem, after all, veterans such as Gisela Schäffler were also there, who celebrated her 30th stage anniversary this year. It goes without saying that this ongoing commitment to the Priel theater cause was appropriately appreciated, which was done by theater spokesman Wast Huber at the end of the piece. In the role of “Radieserl-Reserl”, a slightly forgetful widow, Schäffler was once again in top form this year.
But there is no need to worry about the future, as “theater chick” Theresa Frey proved, who shone in many ways as the dashing mayor in her first season. The audience was rightly enthusiastic, not only acknowledging the end of each act, but also some funny passages with applause. In particular, Korbinian Weinzierl as the confused mayor, whose flow of speech included numerous word twists in the well-known Stoiber style, received applause and recognition at the same time for his “convoluted” outpourings.
The plot involved a random passerby named “Giacomo da Capo” (Werner Obermeier) at the train station having magical abilities: he can turn back time. The kiosk owner “Standl-Hans” especially wants to use these arts, whose role Jakob Felsl filled with a lot of passion. His plan: turn back time by four years and win the heart of his beloved, who has since married the mayor.
Very motivated for the new season
But even without magic, it doesn't get boring on the platform, which was ensured by, among others, Birgit Frey as the Sumwiesler honey seller and Gisela Jüttner in the role of the Bremsbichler farmer's wife. Two tramps, namely Resi Huber as Barrier-Susi and Simon Beischl as Switch-Wastl, also enriched the scenery, especially their wedding vows including kisses on the track.
It was not without reason that the chairwoman of the ensemble, Christine Frey, was extremely satisfied with the theater season. Six performances in a fully occupied hall, motivated actors and an enthusiastic audience give encouragement for the 56th season next year.
