Mysterious attack this weekend. Two men were targeted by shotgun fire... after simply flashing their headlights at a motorist. Investigators from the Conflans-Sainte-Honorine police station (Yvelines) are responsible for finding the perpetrators. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, two young men aged 25 and 26 were driving by car between Poissy and Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The road is clear, traffic flows smoothly until they come alongside two other vehicles.
The two cars maneuver strangely, at very slow speed and with frequent steering movements. The two young people want to overtake them and flash their headlights. A gesture which will anger one of the passengers of the two vehicles.
A man sticks his head out of the window, looks in their direction, then pulls out a shotgun. He fired twice at the two men. The latter miraculously avoid the bullets.
Around ten bullet holes but no injuries
The driver, in panic, tried to reverse to get away and hit a van parked nearby. Around ten impacts were noted on the windshield and two hunting cases were picked up from the ground by the police.
“For the moment, it's still a little confusing but the version of the two victims is corroborated by witnesses who say they heard two detonations. In addition, a baker's van was hit,” indicates a source close to this matter.
Last February, in the neighboring department of Val-d'Oise, an altercation between motorists on the A15 turned into gunfire. After a fish tail, the two drivers insulted each other before one of them took out a handgun and fired four times. The perpetrator of the shooting had no criminal record.
