Israel promises a “response”
Calls for de-escalation appear to have been in vain. Israeli army chief of staff Herzi Halevi on Monday evening promised a "response" to Iran's unprecedented attack on Israel, during a speech to soldiers at a base hit by an Iranian strike.
Israel will “respond to the launch of so many missiles, cruise missiles and drones on the territory of the State of Israel,” declared General Halevi while visiting the Nevatim base in the south of the country.
