A violent clash at the start of the evening. This Tuesday, April 16, a 17-year-old teenager was seriously injured after being stabbed in Évry-Courcouronnes, we learned from a police source, confirming information from BFMTV. An investigation has been opened.
It was around 10 p.m. when the incident occurred. Firefighters and police converge on the Bois-Guillaume district, north of Évry. A teenager is on the asphalt, bleeding: he has just been stabbed several times. The victim, aged 17, was picked up by the fire ambulance and taken to hospital in serious condition. Having undergone surgery, the teenager is now out of danger.
Suspect arrested
At the same time, the police manage to arrest a suspect who is fleeing. This other young man, 18 years old, was still placed in police custody this Wednesday in the premises of the DCT (Territorial Crime Division), the former departmental security.
An investigation into “attempted voluntary homicide” was opened to shed light on this matter. According to initial information collected, a fight between several teenagers broke out in the street. Brawl during which stabbings were carried out. Does this fight have a link to the persistent rivalry between the young people of Évry-Courcouronnes and those of Ris-Orangis, the neighboring town? “Too early to say,” delays a source close to the matter. We were unable to contact the Évry-Courcouronnes public prosecutor's office.
This new episode of violence between adolescents comes less than two weeks after the death of Shemseddine, 15, in front of his school in Viry-Chatillon. The boy had been beaten up by several people who accused him of having a relationship with the sister of two of them.
