The crimes took place some time ago. In May and July 2022, there were four cases of sexual harassment against women in the Munich subway. The perpetrator is said to have always been the same. Now the police are looking.

A previously unknown man sexually harassed women in crowded subway trains, but was then always able to get away undetected. The Munich police now know that all of the crimes were probably committed by the same perpetrator. A photo is now being used to search for this unknown person. The four acts all show a similar pattern.
Multiple sexual harassment in Munich subways: The police are now looking for this man
Case 1
: On Thursday, May 19, 2022, a 24-year-old woman was the victim of a sexual assault on the U6 subway line in Munich. The young woman got on the subway at Marienplatz towards the Garching Research Center at around 9:45 a.m. A previously unknown man, who was standing diagonally in front of her, suddenly touched her private area above her clothing with his hand. The 24-year-old reacted immediately and loudly drew attention to herself. The perpetrator then walked away from her. The young woman left the subway at the University stop and immediately filed a report with a nearby police station.
Case 2
: On Monday, May 23, 2022, an incident occurred in the Munich subway. A 17-year-old passenger was traveling on the U3 towards Sendlinger Tor around 3:00 p.m. After she passed the Giselastraße stop, she was harassed by a man. He approached the young woman and touched her inappropriately in the private area above her clothing. The 17-year-old reacted immediately and slapped the perpetrator's hand away. The man then changed the subway car at the University stop. His journey finally ended at Odeonsplatz, where he exited the subway. After the incident, the 17-year-old went to a police station and filed a report.
Case 3
: On Thursday, July 14, 2022, an incident occurred in the Munich subway that brought the police to the scene. At around 3:15 p.m., a 16-year-old passenger was on the U6 heading towards Marienplatz. The young person got on the subway at the University stop and stayed near the door during the journey. During the journey, the wanted person kicked the 16-year-old and touched her inappropriately. According to the police report, the unknown man touched the girl's thigh as well as her genital area with his hand. After this incident, the young person left the subway at the Marienplatz stop. The 16-year-old responded to the incident by filing a report with a police station.
Case 4
: On Thursday, July 13, 2023, an incident occurred in the Munich subway that brought the police to the scene. At around 5:55 p.m., a 33-year-old woman got on the U6 at the Odeonsplatz stop in the direction of the Garching Research Center. She was harassed by a man who was behind her and whose actions had a sexual background. The 33-year-old confronted the perpetrator, whereupon he fled the train station at the Giselastraße stop. After the incident, the woman contacted the police and filed a report.

In all cases, immediately initiated police searches were unsuccessful, according to the Munich police. With a mugshot (see above), the officers hope to track down the unknown man with help from the public.
