The revised all-electric Porsche Taycan Turbo GT breaks the 1000 hp barrier. With the Weissach package, the model accelerates faster than a Formula 1 car.
Seville - The 1000 hp club of the automotive world only has a few members. It includes, among others, the Lamborghini Revuelto (1001 hp), the Tesla Model S Plaid (1020 hp), the Mercedes-AMG One (1063 hp) and the Bugatti Bolide (1850 hp). Now Porsche has also joined this exclusive club with the Taycan Turbo GT.
Equipped with a more powerful pulse inverter with 900 amps, the Taycan Turbo GT produces 789 hp in normal operation. In overboost mode with launch control for maximum acceleration from a standstill, up to 1108 hp are possible for two seconds. The maximum torque is 1,340 Newton meters. This makes the Taycan Turbo GT the most powerful Porsche built in series. The Taycan Turbo GT only needs 2.3 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h, and it stops at 290 km/h.

Thanks to intelligent lightweight construction measures, the Taycan Turbo GT is up to 75 kilograms lighter than the Taycan Turbo S. Among other things, the B-pillar trim, the upper shells of the exterior mirrors and the inserts of the side skirts are made of carbon. Porsche has developed a front spoiler with aeroblades especially for the Taycan Turbo GT. An adaptive spoiler dominates the rear.
The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is equipped with the driving dynamics package as standard. This includes the Porsche Active Ride chassis with GT-specific tuning and 21-inch lightweight forged wheels. Special performance summer tires are also part of the equipment package. The Taycan Turbo GT is slowed down with weight-optimized ceramic lightweight brakes.
Thanks to higher charging currents and an optimized thermal concept, the Taycan Turbo GT charges the battery, which has been enlarged to 105 kWh, with up to 320 kW. In 18 minutes the cells fill from ten to 80 percent. According to Porsche, the maximum electric range is around 555 kilometers.

If you want to go one step further, order the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package. This variant is consistently designed for lightweight construction and no unnecessary equipment is included. There is no back seat, less insulation material and floor and trunk mats are also missing. The vehicle weighs 2220 kilograms, 70 kilograms less than the conventional model.
At the rear, a fixed wing provides up to 220 kilograms of downforce, additional air control elements on the underbody and a new front diffuser further improve the aerodynamics. With the Weissach package, the top speed is up to 305 km/h. The road-legal racing car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds - making it even faster than a Formula 1 car.
What is unusual is that Porsche charges the same price for the Taycan Turbo GT and the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package. The buyer must put at least 240,000 euros on the table.
