End of the Sharon Gal saga: the presenter will remain on Channel 14 - this is what the channel announced today (Thursday), this against the background of an announcement by Channel 13 that announced less than a month ago that Gal will return to Channel 13 to present a new current affairs program.
Let's remember:
immediately after the announcement, Channel 14 issued Gal a warning letter according to which the contract signed with him binds him to the channel until the end of 2024. Later, Gal renewed negotiations, in which it was finally agreed, as mentioned, that he would remain on Channel 14.
Gal (49), submitted until about a year ago and for three years the news and current affairs segment at 17:00 on Channel 13 and later moved to submit the edition The main channel of Channel
14.
Gal started his career as a reporter at News 10 and over the years presented and led the "Lila Calchi" segment, as well as documentaries and various projects.
By recruiting Sharon Gal, the channel tried to bring back the viewers who abandoned it last year, some of them to Channel 14. In fact, just this week, Gal was proudly presented at the channel's toast by the company's chairman, Nadav Topolski, and the news company held discussions regarding the nature of his inclusion in the broadcasts.
Channel 14 said: "We are happy to announce that Sharon Gal remains on Channel 14 and will present the 19:00 segment, and we wish him success. The 18:00 segment will be presented jointly by Arel Segal and Shimon Riklin."
