Fridays for Future climate strike in various cities

Highlights: Fridays For Future Italia, the Italian branch of the youth movement for the climate inspired by Greta Thunbrerg, is organizing its first climate strike of 2024 tomorrow morning in various Italian cities. Girls and boys will combine climate issues with political and social themes, such as the demand for a ceasefire in Palestine, school, the G7 in Puglia, trade union disputes, and so on. "The latest IPCC report is clear: the transition must be accelerated, accompanying it with measures to reduce inequalities, like debt cancellation," he adds. "We must follow the indications that science has given us some time ago," he says, referring to the IPCC's latest report on climate change. "If we really want to remain at +1.5°C, we must follow the indications," he adds, "and we must reduce inequalities. We need to reduce debt cancellation."

    For Leonardo Sordino "we need a decisive push towards moving away from fossil fuels: if we really want to remain at +1.5°C, we must follow the indications that science has given us some time ago.
