Norway's Märtha Louise's anticipation of her wedding to shaman Durek Verrett has been dampened after details about the celebration were leaked.
Geiranger – On August 31st, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway (52) married her fiancé Durek Verrett (49) in Geiranger. A lavish festival is planned that will last four days. Members of the Norwegian royal family such as King Harald V (87), Queen Sonja (86), Crown Prince Haakon (50) and Crown Princess Mette-Marit (50) meet Hollywood stars, including Gwyneth Paltrow (51) and Lenny Kravitz (59) are among the prominent guests.
“Whoever did that is not my friend”: Princess Märtha Louise deeply disappointed
Most recently, the Norwegian newspaper
Se og Hør
revealed numerous details about Princess Märtha Louise's wedding to her shaman, including the program, the dress code and the prohibitions. However, the information does not come from the bride and groom themselves, but apparently from one of the guests who acted as a mole. In her weekly podcast
HeartSmart Conversations,
Märtha Louise vented her anger about this.
Our new WhatsApp channel also offers more news from the world of entertainment.
“Whoever did this is not my friend,” Princess Märtha Louise makes clear. In a conversation with podcast colleague Mari Manzetti, the little sister of Norway's Crown Prince Haakon is stunned. “When you invite people to a wedding, the invitation is passed on to
Se og Hør
. Then I thought: How on earth can you be sure who your friends are? (...) I really wonder how much he got for it. How much am I worth?"
Before her wedding to shaman Durek Verrett: Who can Princess Märtha Louise trust?
As the daughter of the King of Norway, Märtha Louise is used to dealing with the press and is “pretty good at recognizing who is doing something like that.” If she finds out which guest spilled the details, they will probably be disinvited again. Durek Verrett's mother Veruschka Urquhart (80), who claimed in an interview with
Se og Hør
, among other things, that her son had brainwashed Princess Märtha Louise,
was not even invited .
In order to prevent further leaks, Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett have now drawn a line in the sand. In a joint statement on Instagram, the two announced that they “will no longer comment on anything that can be read in the press” until the wedding.
As a further consequence, it is now strictly forbidden to take photos and videos at the wedding of Shaman Durek and Princess Märtha Louise. A dedicated photographer should capture the most beautiful moments for the bride and groom. We can only hope that Märtha Louise's father has fully recovered by then, as King Harald recently suffered a severe setback after his heart operation.
