An absolute pop megastar is doing the honors on a cruise. Some people like that, but not everyone.
Hamburg – It's a small sensation for Schlager fans: Andrea Berg (58) will sing on the high seas. An event cruise from TUI Cruises was recently announced under the title “My Ship meets Andrea Berg & Friends”. The journey will last from September 27th to October 2nd and the “Mein Schiff 7” will take you from Hamburg via Invergordon to Kirkwall and back to Hamburg. In addition to the megastar, other music acts will also be there. Andrea Berg is thrilled: “I’m really looking forward to seeing my fans again at this very special place. I am sure that these concerts with you and our time together on board this new cruise ship will be unforgettable for all of us.”

But there are one or two catches to the matter. “Andrea Berg will play three live concerts on the trip,” the announcement says. Anyone who is happy about the full Andrea Berg drone with three appearances in just a few days will quickly be sobered up. Because it also says: “One ticket for one of the concerts can be booked per travel participant. This guarantees that all cruise guests receive a ticket for a concert.” This means: All fans will be on site during two concerts on the ship without being allowed to attend them. And hear the bass booming from outside the theater. “It bothers us that you are only allowed to take part in one concert per person and not as often as you would like,” criticizes a supporter on Facebook.

The announcement of the Schlager cruise is received differently by Andrea Berg fans. Many react to the announcement on their own Facebook page with enthusiasm or take action (“This is awesome, far too good to be true, yes, we want to”, “We booked today”).
