In starting car production in Italy there is not only Donfeng's interest, "in recent months several car manufacturers, not only Asian, have spoken to our ministry on the possibility of making their production investments in our country, considering it the most attractive one precisely for the context, for the automotive ecosystem". This was said by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, on the sidelines of the "Craftsmanship at the heart of Made in Italy" event.
When asked what stage the discussions with Chery are at, the minister replied: "we will announce once things are done, just as happened with microelectronics, when everyone said we were behind, the same will happen with the car system. When the agreements are there, as happened with Siliconbox in the field of microelectronics, we will announce any agreements that there are in the automotive system."
