A ski mountaineer died after slipping a few hundred meters from the Comici del Sorapis gully above Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno).
Four of them were climbing up the upper part of the canal with skis on their shoulders, when the woman slipped, stopping at the base of the canal. Having arrived on site, the Suem helicopter from Pieve di Cadore disembarked with a 20 meter winch, an air rescue technician and doctor, who were only able to confirm the death of the skier. Once the authorization for removal was obtained from the judiciary, the body was recovered and transported to the Cortina area. The woman's companions are returning independently.
