A crucial save, 3 minutes into the 90th minute, a volley on seven to repel a free kick that was about to end up in the net. A feat. Made with one arm.

Because Alessandro Pighi, 34 years old, with a handicap due to the amputation of a limb suffered in 2014, is a goalkeeper with only one arm available, the left. But he has will and class to spare, and during the third category match between Valdadige and Vetta he signed a human display, before a sporting one.

Pighi told his story to the newspaper 'L'Arena'.

Last Sunday, in the third category match, Valdadige was suddenly left without goalkeepers, both of whom were out due to injury: the match was 0-0; Pighi was on the bench, his role in the team currently is that of central defender - he also knows how to do it with his feet - while he is instead the starter between the posts in the Italian national amputee team. Given the emergency situation, the Valdadige coach asked him if he felt like entering the goal: Pighi immediately replied yes. A bit of a warm-up, some simple interventions, and then that masterpiece dive on seven, 3 minutes from the end, to seal the result at 0-0. "How much happiness at the 90th minute" said the number one.
