The middle school has signed an educational partnership with the Krämmel construction company.

Geretsried/Wolfratshausen – Together for exciting training opportunities: This is what the Geretsried secondary school and the Krämmel group of companies have taken up. Under the patronage of the Munich and Upper Bavaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), the school recently signed an educational partnership with the construction company. The IHK reports on this in a statement.

Goal: to show training opportunities

Both partners want to show students exciting training opportunities in the commercial and commercial-technical areas at a regional construction and real estate company.

The partnership has its origins in the Krämmel cornerstone project 2023/2024, the aim of which is to develop new measures to attract commercial trainees. The two trainees involved had discovered the possibility of an IHK educational partnership and took the initiative to conclude the partnership with the middle school.

Practical tips for a successful application

Through the partnership, young people at the Geretsried middle school will now be supported in their career planning through various information and participation offers. According to the announcement, they should be “prepared as optimally as possible for their entry into professional and working life”. For example, a company tour, a career information evening at school and the implementation of company internships in different areas of the company are planned. For Rüdiger Rieß, an expert from the SchoolEconomy working group and teacher responsible for career orientation at the middle school, the partnership is a good addition to the middle school curriculum. “Through the joint activities with the Krämmel group of companies, our students gain a better insight into the working and professional world of a construction company,” he is quoted in the statement. “You experience what everyday working life is like there and get to know different professional sectors. In addition, they will receive practical tips for a successful application, which will be useful to them anytime and anywhere.”

Early career orientation during school time

Jana Hofmann, team leader for personnel development & recruiting at Krämmel and responsible for training, emphasizes the importance of career orientation while still at school: “Students are often not aware that a wealth of interesting careers and companies are waiting for them in their region, including Apprenticeships. At the Krämmel Group we have a long tradition of training. That’s why it’s particularly important for us to provide early insights into various apprenticeships.”

By the way: Everything from the region is also available in our regular Wolfratshausen-Geretsried newsletter.

According to Matthias Kaiser, educational consultant at the IHK office in Weilheim, a lively partnership between schools and companies is an enrichment for companies and students. “As an IHK, our goal is to gradually make the network of educational partnerships in the region increasingly dense.”

In the case of an educational partnership, the IHK first establishes contact between interested schools and companies. Companies or schools that are interested in an educational partnership can contact the IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria directly on 0 89/5 11 60 or by email at bildungspartnerschaft@muenchen.ihk.de.
