“Unfortunately, even today I often don’t think about what I say. The podcast comes out on Tuesdays, and on Wednesdays we are in all the newspapers because we talked happily to ourselves again,” says Mike Krüger in the show. The problem: He is used to different times. “No one would have been interested in this before, no one would have written about it, no one would have been interested 40 years ago,” he explains.

Mike Krüger explains basic rules of comedy

He is always amazed at the headlines that he and Thomas Gottschalk make with their talk. Basically, he doesn't mind it - because Mike Krüger follows a clear motto. “There's a basic rule of comedy: You can joke about anyone if you're also joking about yourself. Rudi Carrell always said on 'Seven Days, Seven Heads': 'Guys, we have to make fun of ourselves, then we can make fun of the others.'”

Because he doesn't stop at making jokes about himself, he can also allow himself to make funny statements about other people. But there was still criticism: after Thomas Gottschalk and Mike Krüger publicly exposed her, Iris Klein reacted.
