Sovereign home win for Bayern and his new star Philippe Coutinho: opponents Mainz 05 could only keep up at the beginning. Schalke 04 benefited from two own goals from Hertha BSC.

Everything was prepared for a splendid afternoon in the Munich Arena: the start of the farewell tour of President Uli Hoeness, the home premiere of the new top stars Philippe Coutinho - only the guest did not want to join the game: Mainz 05 went early in Munich 1: 0 in Guide. The Bayern needed some time, but then really got rolling. At the end there was a befitting and sovereign 6: 1 (2: 1) success.

After five minutes, the Mainz cheered, because Jean-Paul Boetius made a quick counterattack head to the leadership. Bayern access Benjamin Pavard did not look good, but made up for his mistake half an hour later. The Frenchman took a cross full and turned to equalize. David Alaba made the home run shortly before half-time with a direct free-kick. Nevertheless, it was a tedious first half from Bayern view.

After the break, the class of the record champion prevailed more and more. Ivan Perisic scored 3-1 in his opening debut after just 53 minutes, after which the match was decided. Kingsley Coman increased for the now oppressive superior Bayern in the 64th minute to 4: 1. And in the end then Robert Lewandowski was allowed to meet. Shortly before the end a Schalke was allowed to hit as well: the young Englishman Jonjoe Kenny scored his first Bundesliga goal.

Bayer Leverkusen - 1899 Hoffenheim 0: 0

After the break, the Leverkusen made strong pressure, but the guests survived the pressure phase with luck and skill.
