Juve is said to refrain from Boateng transfer
A change from Jérôme Boateng of Bayern Munich to Juventus does not come off apparently. According to reports of "Gazzetta dello Sport" Juve renounces a commitment of the 30-year-old defender.
It had prevailed among those responsible the opinion of relying on their own resources, wrote the Italian newspaper. According to information from the "Bild" newspaper, however, Boateng has decided against a change.
The Italian record champion had been thinking about a transfer of Boateng after the cruciate ligament tearing by captain Giorgio Chiellini. The former national player was reportedly already in negotiations in Turin. Also Shkodran Mustafi from Arsenal had been traded as a candidate.
Boateng had caused displeasure in Munich in May, when he had stayed away from the celebrations after the double. President Uli Hoeneß then suggested a change. Most recently, however, Boateng apologized for his behavior.
In the first three league games came the former defender, who came to Munich in 2011, but not used. On Sunday Boateng had missed a public relations meeting for Munich. His contract with the German record champions runs until 2021.
