Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto'o has ended his career. The 38-year-old announced on Instagram. "To the end, to new challenges, thanks to all," he wrote.
Eto'o was among the best strikers in the world during his time at FC Barcelona and Inter Milan between 2004 and 2011. Most recently, he played for teams in Turkey (Antalyasport, Konyaspor) and Qatar (Qatar SC).

For FC Barcelona Eto'o scored 130 goals in 199 competitive games and won three championship titles and twice the Champions League (2006 and 2009). In both finals, he scored the first goal for his team.
After moving to Milan Eto'o was under coach José Mourinho to the top performers of the team that won the 2010 Triple, including a 2-0 victory in the Champions League final against FC Bayern Munich.
For the Cameroonian national team played Eto'o 118 internationals (56 goals) and won the 2000 and 2002 Africa Cup. He also won Olympic gold in Sydney in 2000 and participated in four World Championships. He was named Africa's Footballer of the Year four times.
