The German national basketball team celebrated their second victory at the World Cup in China and thus continued to take part in the Olympic qualifying tournament in their own hands. The team around NBA star Dennis Schröder won against Senegal in Shanghai 89:78 (36:37).
The German team struggled with starting problems and was quickly 0: 5 behind. Schröder then scored the first points, shortened to 4: 5. As a result, both teams made various ball losses and were not very accurate. With a 14:11 lead for Germany, it went into the second quarter.
The German basketball players continued to struggle in the second section of the game, repeatedly losing the ball in the forward movement and often left the Senegalese too much space. Despite an intermediate 20:14 lead, it was at half time 36:37 from the German perspective.
