The German basketball international Dennis Schröder has made a negative decision on a personnel decision at the Bundesliga club basketball Löwen Braunschweig. Because his former discoverer, the Romanian Liviu Calin, was quit by the club according to "Braunschweiger Zeitung", Schröder wrote on Instagram: "Seriously, shame on you!"
Schröder is a shareholder in the Löwen, he continued: "Because of him, there is your location only in its present form !!!". Schröder's brother and manager Che Secka announced a statement from the NBA pros after the World Cup, on Friday Schroeder already wrote: "We rise together and we collapse who does not respect Liviu, does not respect me either."
According to the "Braunschweiger Zeitung", the legal dispute concerns Calin's termination without the consent of the Löwen Supervisory Board and, moreover, that the notice period has not been observed.
The core of the dispute between Calin, who had again become head of the junior department last year, and the club were "serious disagreements in the promotion of young talent."
"Always stand behind you"
The Braunschweig Lions confirmed to the SPIEGEL that the club and Calin met before the Labor Court. "We are in an ongoing process and can not comment further," said a club spokeswoman.
The appointment was over after two minutes, both parties did not want to express themselves in the public session, according to "Braunschweiger Zeitung". The judge therefore set a chamber meeting for the end of the year. Until then, the parties could also agree out of court.
Schröder's national team-mate Daniel Theis, who once played with Schröder in Braunschweig, also commented. He has "no understanding" for the club's decision, Theis wrote: "Always stand behind you, Liviu!"
