Three teams in a calendar year, but the best comes to the end: NFL professional Antonio Brown joins the defending champion New England Patriots after he had previously asked for his own dismissal.

Just hours after being released by the Oakland Raiders, NFL star Antonio Brown has apparently found a new team. For one year, the wide receiver to the defending champion New England Patriots play. This was reported by several US media in unison.

In the afternoon, the Raiders had dismissed the superstar after asking for it. In March, the team from California had committed the 31-year-olds by trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers, since Brown had made headlines with self-inflicted injuries, missed training sessions and a dispute with manager Mike Mayock.

The change to Oakland had come after a disagreement Browns with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The anger of the past months seems to have given way to the joy of his new team.

The New England Patriots are the most successful team in the past 20 years; between 2001 and last season, the Massachusetts team won the Super Bowl six times. Brown is one of the league's best passers-by, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is regularly referred to as the best player in history.

The new star duo, led by coach legend Bill Belichick, will make it easier to defend the title. At the Patriots' first game of the season on Sunday night, against Pittsburgh, Brown will not be eligible to play. It will not be until the weekend that he will make his debut for his new team against the Miami Dolphins.
