LONDON (Reuters) - Germany won 2-0 away to Northern Ireland on Monday to return to the right path in the Euro 2020 qualifiers after a defeat by the Netherlands.
Defender Marcel Hallchtenberg scored Germany's first goal three minutes into the second half after a humble first half of the Germans who lost 4-2 to the Netherlands on Friday and Serge Gnabry added the second in stoppage time.
Germany jumped to the top of Group C with 12 points from five games, a goal difference over Northern Ireland, who lost for the first time in these qualifiers.
Third-placed Netherlands have nine points from four games after a 4-0 win over Estonia on Wednesday.
