Syria's Olympic football team has finished its internal training camp in Damascus as part of its preparations for the AFC U-23 Championship finals in Thailand early next year.
In a statement to SANA, coach Ayman al-Hakim said that the preparatory plan that was put in place after the qualification for the Asian Cup was integrated in terms of watching and experience the largest number of players and the search for talents that can be included in the team.
Hakim said, "Although the plan was not implemented in full, but the benefit was good through the internal and external camps that have been set up waiting to secure the friendly matches required in accordance with the vision set during the next few months before the finals."
Al-Hakim said he is looking forward to seeing the players impose themselves and perform well with their clubs in the first phase of the league championship, noting that the player who will not participate with his club continuously will lose his chance to be with the Olympic team due to the strong competition in each center.
