Madrid - Slovenia's Primo Rogelic won the 2019 Tour of Spain after completing the 21st stage of the race in Madrid on Tuesday, becoming the first racer to win the title.
Rogelic, 29, successfully defended his superiority over second-placed Alejandro Valverde in the final stage of the 21-day race, a procession of the 6,106 kilometers from Fuenlabrada to the heart of Madrid, won by Dutchman Fabio Jakobsen.
The other Slovenian, Tadi Bogchar, took the last place on the podium to clinch a fantastic race for the 20-year-old, who won three stages in his debut in a major race.
