The 118-time German ex-national player Babett Peter changes with immediate effect from VfL Wolfsburg to the Spanish first division club CD Tacón. This was announced by the German master. Tacón will merge with Real Madrid next year and then become a division of the Royal.
The 31-year-old Olympic champion of 2016 signed a two-year contract in Spain. "My athletic situation was not that easy in the end, so I am all the more pleased to accept a new challenge now," said Peter.
Wolfsburg sporting director Ralf Kellermann said: "It is a very unusual time for a contract termination because we can no longer act on the transfer market ourselves, but we have decided to meet Babett's request."
Peter ended his national team career in April this year. Before Wolfsburg she had played for the 1st FFC Frankfurt, Turbine Potsdam and the 1st FC Lokomotiv Leipzig.
