MOSCOW (AP) - Dina Averina won the gold medal at the World Gymnastics Championships on Wednesday

Dina Averina of Russia won the gold medal in ball exercises at the World Gymnastics Championships in Baku.

Russia website reported today that Dina Averina won the first place with 23,500 points, leaving the silver medal to her sister Arena, who came in second place with 23 050 points.

The tournament will last until September 23.
